It started with cocktails in covent garden followed by watching frank skinner and friends in the west end. After the show we headed to china town as it was Chinese new year... I love all the lanterns that decorate the streets.

So I have also been playing with oil pastels, not quite sure about oil pastels. And used my shroom stamp, I absolutely love it. Also below are my feb pages so far for the altered art calendar, need to do more before feb.

Ok its my guilty secret, i love it. I love curling up with a chick lit book that i can just read without thinking lol So i found this on jo's Blog , the Chick Lit challenge 2012 .  Go check it out :) Now i am off to read the rules properly lol

ok lately it seems that i am doing more home cooking/baking than crafting??? not sure what is happening there.  Although i have been preparing my feb art journalling calender pages and playing with my Shroom stamp.... Well this was sunday afternoon desert, quick and easy mango nests. far too many calories to even count. Then using charli's choclate lollies maker we made these with dark choc, so very yummy. I promise i will take pics of art journalling pages and post.  Also need to think about which pics i want to get printed for my project life 2012 album.  I am just going to complete 9 4x4 mini layouts for each month, lol who am i kidding i have not scrapped in almost 2yrs, all my papers could almost be classed as vintage now!!! oh well, will see how far i get. x

More baking.... Jam tarts They lasted about 30secs in this house but I will take that as a compliment.

we woke this morning to a notification that there was a new geocache in the local area, so we headed off to see if we could be the FTF (first to find) it.....  Whoo hoo, we were, and it was situated next to a beautiful victorian building that is now used as a library. Follwoing our find we headed off to find some other caches in the area that we have not bagged as yet... after two more we found a Starbucks and treated ourselves to these... Then on our way home ( ok the long way round!) we passed the new white water rafting centre in Waltham abbey, and along the canals there were another 4 caches to grab..... These cygnets although full size still had  there juvenile colours followed us up and back along the canal much to the childrens amusement... Following this we bagged another 2 caches in the area and then headed home. Happy sunday stroll x

mmm new latte offering from starbucks, it was very yummy! made saturday tesco shop almost enjoyable knowing i was popping into starbucks afterwards.

Finished my 2011 Xmas journal last night whoo hoo!!!

One thing i would like to do is get out and about more this year with the kids and partake in some more geocaching.  So 2nd of jan was a gorgeous bright day although a tad cold in the wind...we headed off to a former WW2 RAF base Sawbridgeworth about a 15min drive from our house.  I had seen these caches when searching for local caches... We grabbed one on our way called pip's trip2, then headed to the former airfield which is now farmers fields and a wood used by paintballers.  we grabbed the 5 caches around the arifield and one was right next to a pill box.  The kids had great fun climbing all over it and playing army inside it, it was only the fact that the sun was dropping in the sky that I thought it was best we headed back.  We grabbed another cache and dash at widford church on our way home and just as dusk set in we grabbed another in ware called dead mans alley.  Ware has loads and loads of cache and a beautiful river so we will be back. xxx
