Road trip to kent
Yesterday we decided to jump on the bike and head to Kent. We wanted to go explore some places that neither of us have been before. We headed to Whitstable first, what an amazing quaint town. The high st full of fab little shops, thankfully as I only had a rucksack I could not shop lol We headed to the little fishing harbour and watched the crews hauling in their catches of the day. We then headed along the coast and saw rows of beach huts, hubby knows that I love them so stopped the bike so I could take some pics Then we headed to Hearn bay for an ice cream whilst sitting on the sea wall. In the distance we could see some ruins, and as bikers do we were chatting about where to go next and asked what the ruins were and we got the directions and a suggestion for a pub to grab some good food. We found the ruins. Originally a roman fort an adapted into a monestery until the sea reclaimed the cliffs and most of it fell into the sea. It was amazing I love ...
