End of March

Image
This was my month. I use the collect app and try and store pictorial memories of my month :-) This weekend I took the eldest two to a judo comp in high Wycombe. C came 1st in her weight group, G came 2nd in his tough fights. I cheer him on and cringe at the same time, he has a cracking shiner this time.   But he's happy with another medal. Also yesterday was Mother's Day, I was treated to a cooked brekkie and coffee with a huge box of thorntons which the kids devoured very quickly. So how was your weekend.

Wow where has the month gone already! Well it's the 27th so time to grab a cuppa  an catch up with each other. Abi over on www.creatingpaperdreams.blogspot.cominvites everyone over for a cuppa and chat. Head over and say hi! So anyway. How's your month been?  It really has flown.  So what's new?  As we meet up for a brew in costa in my much earned lunch break.... Well what's new in my world... I started my new job this month as an Assessor for the institute of customer service.  Travelling all over London and the Home Counties carrying out assessments as a final part of my customers qualifications.  So far so good :-) I'm enjoying the change of pace and the freedom of the new role. Last month I told you about our DIY tasks. Well all I have left to do in the new kitchen is paint the newly plastered walls. Not much else has really been happening, well apart from I have regained my love for cross stitch.  I had forgotten how relaxing I find it.   Thi...

Where is this year going???

Ok someone please tell me where this year is going? It's passing by so quickly. This week we will have been married 3mths already.  Our kitchen is almost done. And I am now a fully accredited assessor for my company after months of training and tests. Yay me! So what have we been upto? Last week  we visited a local windmill. It was amazing I love the building and it was topped off by a blue sky as a backdrop.  Yesterday I curled up with a cuppa and book to chill.   But then the girlie wanted to make cupcakes.... So how's your week been?

Changes

Image
This month is seeing lots of new changes.... Changes to our house, the kitchen I getting there. Changes to our routine as a family,  Changes with my new job means that sometimes I have to work a long day but in return get to work from home on occasions. But we will find a new routine. Being a mum to 4 and working full time has it's challenges but most days I cope lol Last night I took a night off from DIY, I made an early dinner and then decided to chill. I curled up on the sofa and decided to stitch a bit.  I have not touched it for over a month.  So with catch up tv on I spent a whole evening watching call the midwife, line of duty and first dates whilst stitching away . I'm not the quickest stitcher either.  Here's a pic so far.... Oh well it's judo night, I'm off to matter with the mums whilst the kids randori.

Love/hate relationship.  I will love it at the end but currently hate building it and all the DIY.  Pop over the Abi's and join her meme of 1 photo 20 words Www.creatingpaperdreams.blogspot.com

Relief

I was so relived today, we got the school that we asked for 1st time. The twins will be going to the same school as G. Not that he is happy about that.  Today's email set my mind at ease. Yes I know that this time they would have priority as they have an older sibling in the school but you just never know. It was such a different feeling than that two years ago when we got none if the places we requested and had to fit the system through the appeals channel which took 4 long stressful months.  No this time I can chill and start buying their uniform now.  Buying twice as much is no fun when they have 3 pe kits all apparently needed. Hey ho. So if your child was waiting for a place I hope they got their first choice.
